After 12 years of waking up Melbourne, Nova 100’s Hughesy & Kate today announced they have made the difficult decision that this will be their final year of breakfast radio together. Hughesy & Kate were the first voices that launched the station in December 2001. The final Hughesy & Kate breakfast show will be broadcast on Friday 29 November.

They will be leaving on a high point as in Survey 5, Nova was the only FM breakfast to increase their audience. They are only 0.1% behind 2nd place Fox FM and 0.6% behind MMM.

Central Coast's Star 104.5 rebrands

Nova Entertainment's Central Coast radio station, Star 104.5, have today launched a new brand position - Star 104.5 loving music, loving life. Star 104.5 are playing a range of music from the 80s to now.

NSW Central Coast must be the most difficult market in Australia to conquer. It has Sydney to the south and Newcastle to the north so has to compete with out of region stations. The last survey was published in 2012 and reported that the Central Coast stations only had 53% of listening hours.
